A Conference For The Glory Of God In Christ: Meeting Oct 5th-6th 2018
Last year our theme: "The Five Solas of the Reformation" was chosen to commemorate the 500th anniversary of The Protestant Reformation. 501 years ago, Martin Luther nailed his 95 Theses to the chapel door at Wittenburg on October 31, 1517, sparking The Protestant Reformation. Last year we focused on the great biblical doctrines which emerged from the Reformation, changed the world, and became known as the Five Solas of The Protestant Reformation: Sola Scriptura Scripture Alone, Sola Fide Faith Alone, Sola Gratia Grace Alone, Solus Christus Christ Alone, and Soli Deo Gloria The Glory of God Alone.
This year our theme is: “The Glory of Christ in His Church”. Every single church should strive to be a Church that demonstrates the beauty of Jesus Christ. Our goal is to pursue, and help others pursue, making much of Jesus Christ by being a healthy church. While there are many marks of a church that demonstrate the Glory of Christ, this year we will focus on 5 Marks which we should all pursue continually. These Marks are: 1. Regenerate Church Membership, 2. Biblical Church Leadership. 3.The Centrality of the Word of Christ in Faith and Practice, 4. The Church as a Family, and 5. The Church on Mission.
This conference is for any Christian and is meant to challenge, equip and inspire you, from God's Word, to make Christ the center of all of life. In addition, we hope to promote Christ-Centeredness in all matters, in all churches, in an age of man-centeredness.
Additionally, this conference will be great for high school, college and young married couples, middle-aged, and older brothers and sisters, as we all are confronted with, and learning what it means to live in, a growing post/anti-Christian culture. Our aim is to present the gospel and the gospel-shaped worldview in a way that will equip people to understand the world in which they live, boldly stand for Christ and live for the Glory of God.
The Christ-Centered Churches Conference is free for any person who is not a Christian. We would love for you to come and observe what Christ-Centered worship and teaching are like and about. Our hope is to present the truths of who Jesus is and what He has done as clearly as possible so that we all might demonstrate together the “Glory of Christ in His Church.”
Christ-Centered Churches Conference begins Friday, October 5th and ends Saturday, October 6th and includes free lunch on Saturday and free books, along with other resources. It includes five main sessions of Christ-exalting worship and preaching.
