A Conference For The Glory Of God In Christ Celebrating 500 Years of the Protestant Reformation: Meeting Oct 6th-7th
Our theme: "The Five Solas of the Reformation" was chosen to commemorate the 500th anniversary of The Protestant Reformation. 500 years ago, Martin Luther nailed his 95 Theses to the chapel door at Wittenburg on October 31, 1517, sparking The Protestant Reformation. Our conference will focus on the great biblical doctrines which emerged from the Reformation, changed the world, and became known as the Five Solas of The Protestant Reformation.
Dr. Tom Nettles, one of the leading Baptist historians in America, will speak in two sessions on the history of the Reformation and the importance of the Five Solas in today’s churches. Additionally, five other speakers, all from local churches in Southwest Oklahoma, will preach sermons that are focused on each of the Five Solas: Sola Scriptura Scripture Alone, Sola Fide Faith Alone, Sola Gratia Grace Alone, Solus Christus Christ Alone, and Soli Deo Gloria The Glory of God Alone.
Our conference is meant to encourage and build up the Church. We believe the foundational truths of the Five Solas have the potential and ability to bring reformation, health and unleash evangelism in our churches as they emerge from the text of Scripture, are Christ-Centered and ultimately bring Glory to God.
This conference is for any Christian and is meant to challenge, equip and inspire you, from God's Word, to make Christ the center of all of life. In addition, we hope to promote Christ-Centeredness in all matters, in all churches, in an age of man-centeredness.
Additionally, this conference will be great for high school, college and young married couples, middle-aged, and older brothers and sisters, as we all are confronted with, and learning what it means to live in, a growing post/anti-Christian culture. Our aim is to present the Gospel and the Gospel-shaped worldview as they are presented by the Five Solas in a way that will equip people to understand the world in which they live, boldly stand for Christ and live for the Glory of God.
The Christ-Centered Churches Conference is free for any person who is not a Christian. We would love for you to come and observe what Christ-Centered worship and teaching are like and about. Our hope is to present the truths of who Jesus is and what He has done as clearly as possible. And also to teach with clarity the foundational truths that have come to be known as the Five Solas of the Protestant Reformation.
Christ-Centered Churches Conference begins Friday, October 6th and ends Saturday, Obctober 7th and includes free lunch on Saturday and free books, along with other resources. It includes five main sessions of Christ-exalting worship and preaching. Additionally, Saturday will feature four breakout sessions for you to choose from during lunch.
